Achim made his way into the real estate industry as a retail banker and real estate economist (European Business School – EBS) via BNP Real Estate brokers. As department head, he quickly resumed responsibility for the office letting segment of the Düsseldorf branch.
In 2002, Achim Tillmann started a new position at AMB Generali, part of Generali insurance group, as Head of Real Estate Acquisition and Sales . After a short period, he became responsible for a large restructuring project of Generali entire German Real Estate holdings. The objective was to restructure the Generali Deutschland Group’s entire portfolio. In this context, some 250 properties were divested and assets worth €1.5 billion were acquired in line with the adjusted German strategy. In 2006, Achim was appointed to the management board of this company, also assuming responsibility for construction and development projects. Additionally, he initiated and structured projects and equity joint ventures with a volume exceeding €1 billion.
After more than seven years with Generali, Achim took over Treeh GmbH as an investment manager at the end of 2009. In March 2010 he founded Finch Properties GmbH in Düsseldorf, in 2014 Finch Properties Asset Management GmbH & Co. KG and in 2019 Finch Properties Investment Partners. Today Achim is managing partner of Finch Properties Asset Management, focussing on Equity, business development and strategy, investment, controlling, PR and HR.
The Rhineland native is father of one daughter.
